Trailer: The Green Hornet

Yesterday was our first look at images from "The Green Hornet" and today is our first trailer. I wish I could rejoice with excitement about a Michel Gondry action, but unfortunately this trailer does nothing for me. Regardless of my opinion, the first trailer is here and ready for your vieweing pleasure after the jump...

My initial reaction to the trailer is, where is director Michel Gondry's influence? Gondry is a prolific director and sadly I do not see anything that shows me what he can do behind a camera. Instead I reminded that any old schlep could have thrown that footage together (well maybe not anyone, but most hacks in Hollywood). I also am a little bit confused by Seth Rogen. I guess the role will become a combination of comedy and action, but so far it just looks like Rogen being Rogen again. The guy seriously has played the same character in every movie he's been in so far.

I do believe that somethings are being with held from us. The movie will be in 3D and most of what Michel Gondry can do may be tied into the trend. At least I hope so. "The Green Hornet" is set to release January 14th, 2011 so stay tuned for more updates.
