Review - Edge of Darkness

A Boston homicide detective investigates the brutal murder of his daughter. Along his investigation, detective Thomas Craven, discovers a corporate and government cover-up is tied into his daughters death. Craven must move quickly to solve the homicide before a contracted agent cleans up any loose ends that would leave a trail back to the government and corporations misdoings.

Review - The Crazies

A small farming town in Iowa becomes plagued by hysteria and violence when their water source is contaminated by a unknown toxin. As more and more of the town begin to show symptoms, the military quickly move in to evade any further spread of the toxin. Meanwhile the town's Sheriff and his Deputy create a plan to gather their loved ones and escape the containment perimeter safely.

Fashioning Zoolander 2

Earlier this week news broke about the long talked of Zoolander sequel. Nikki Finke has heard that actor/writer/director Justin Theroux and Ben Stiller are currently preparing the sequel over at Paramount. The original was a flop at the Box Office but found a massive following on home video giving Stiller and Paramount the reasoning to believe a sequel can be well received. Captain America is Enlisted!

This news has been a long time coming, but it is finally here, well sorta. Nikki Finke has ran Marvel and Paramount's short list for Captain America! The list is comprised of a 5 semi-unknowns, but one stands out as the real mccoy. Never in a million years would have I thought of this choice, but now that the cat is out of the bag, it just might be one of the best castings in a long while. Coen's Find 'Grit' Starlet

Since last September we have known the Coen brothers next film would be a remake of "True Grit" starring Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and Josh Brolin. Today comes news of who will play the 14 year-old girl. Deadline Hollywood reports that primarily unknown 13 year-old actress Hailee Steinfeld will take on the role of Mattie Ross. Review - 7 Days

A adolescent girl is raped and murdered on her way to school leaving her parents traumatized. After learning the murderer will only receive up to 15 years in prison, the young girl's father decides to take measures into his own hands and seeks vengeance on the man who raped and killed his daughter.

Review - The Human Centipede (First Sequence)

Two American girls while traveling through Germany, breakdown in a secluded rural area. Without any service to call for help, the girls search through the wooded countryside for any sign of life. Unbeknownst to the American girls, they find a solitary house in which a retired surgeon who specialized in separating Siamese twins lives. The girls quickly find themselves captured by the mad doctor who will soon make them part of his latest creation, a human centipede.

Review - Shutter Island

In 1954 Teddy Daniels, a U.S. Federal Marshal and his partner are assigned to investigate a disappearance on a remote island off the coast of Boston. Known as Shutter Island, the cliff enclosed island houses a hospital for the criminally insane. Vying for some time to get on the island for personal reasons, Teddy Daniels intends to prove his suspicions, that the doctors on the island are performing illegal and horrific treatments on patients.

Universal Revising Cobain Biopic

Back in 2007 Universal optioned a biopic based on the life of grunge rock icon Kurt Cobain. The film is based off the 2001 biography, Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography of Kurt Cobain written by Charles R. Cross. Coming off his Oscar nomination for "The Messenger," Oren Moverman is in final talks with Universal to modify the script and direct the untitled biopic. Read the full article below...

Dune Adds New Scribe

Last month "From paris with Love" and Taken director Pierre Morel was hired by Paramount to tackle a re-boot to the popular Frank Herbert novel "Dune." Morel went on record that he wanted to make a more faithful adaptation of Herbert's work compared to David Lynch's 1984 version. In line with Morel's earlier statement, Paramount has hired Chase Palmer to inject the director's ideas into the pre-existing script penned by Josh Zetumer. Smith Shopping Hit Somebody

Kevin Smith has longed to make a film he feels extremely confident about since his 1997 acclaimed film Chasing Amy. Knowing that Mr. Smith is an epic hockey fan, it is not a shock that the comedic director feels he has his best work in "Hit Somebody."
