The Uninvited Trailer

Here comes yet another sappy ghost story from the producers who brought us The Ring and Disturbia. "The Uninvited" stars David Strathairn, Elizabeth Banks, Emily Browning and Arielle Kebbel whichs sees two daughters return to living with their father after the death of their mother. Their father (David Strathairn) has begun a new relationship with (Elizabeth Banks) and the daughters soon discover that she may not be who she says she is. The trailer gives away a majority of the script and ghost story taking away much of the suspense to the film. This trailer looks like most bad movies that shows too much in the trailer and really seems to borrow way too much from other genre films. I am pretty bored with the tragedy striken ghost stories, but regardless "The Uninvited" releases January 30th 2009, usually a month where films go to die. Anyways, check out the trailer & one-sheet below....

Am I the only one who is tired of these contrived ghost stories? Does this mark Banks first bad film? Let's hope this isn't a start to a bad trend for the talented Ms. Banks.
